She's already talking price, and it's fortunate that the journal in question is of no specific value or interest to her. The ramblings of a centuries old fledging alchemist don't have much demand.

I have no doubt she'll ask enough to offset the costs of her trip. <strike>Honestly, I can think of nothing more off-putting than traveling the world to see if humans have distinct cultural taste.</strike> A meeting has already been arranged and the Lady's Kiss, it seems it is Lady's choice at all.

I admit I'm curious as to whether any of his notes will prove of use or merely a series of subsequent failures in his pursuit <strike>not unlike my own research</strike>. From most account and circumstance the lure of the gold rush seemed a more plausible road than idling away with iron.

I do hope it's legible and proves more useful than the Diary of Bartlowe. That was a dismal failure, that.

The idea of superstition should not apply when one has lived long enough to know the true nature of the world. For the past week, I've had the sensation that I'm being watched and I doubt my concern over the matter is unfounded. After all, it has been a while since any turmoil and strife.

Ryou wouldn't be so careless... and at any rate, it doesn't feel like him. Not exactly.

There's been no recent events of note, so I can only conclude that I'm being observed. But for what end?
